We are proud to be committed to continuous learning and development within the workplace. We have well-defined leadership structures and roles in place to support staff to achieve high levels of performance and to motivate staff to continuously improve their performance, which therefore impacts on the high quality of service provided across the company.

All new staff have a detailed induction to New Directions and specific information relevant to their role and where they are working. New Support Workers are also supported to achieve the Certificate in Care, which ensures they have the required values, behaviours, competences and skills to provide high quality, compassionate care.
We invest in a comprehensive training programme for all our staff and volunteers so that they are able to deliver the highest quality of service and strive to provide the best support available. We have a blended approach to training, which includes face-to-face courses and refresher training via workbooks and e-learning, therefore offering greater flexibility to staff.
We have a reliable, highly skilled, experienced and motivated team who put the individual interests of the people we support at the heart of everything they do. They support people to make decisions for themselves and to have as much choice and control as they choose.
Our training courses are also available to external individuals and organisations. Please contact us for details.
In addition, we support staff to achieve qualifications relevant to their role and arrange bespoke training to ensure our staff meet the changing needs of the people we support, such as Breakaway training and Supporting people with learning disabilities to make positive relationship choices.
