Richmond Court is New Directions’ latest vision in providing supported living accommodation for people with learning and physical disabilities and will be available to new tenants soon. Designed by HB Architects, this purpose-built housing complex consists of 11 self-contained one bedroom flats, and a spacious communal room for engaging in activities, or a place to meet and socialise. There will be a fully accessible garden with sensory area and a water feature. People that live at Richmond Court will be supported to maintain and develop their independence skills, make new friends and live the life they choose with staff available when required.

With a town centre location offered by Richmond Court, close to amenities and public transport this supported living service can provide a stepping stone toward making the move into a home in the community. Supported Living at New Directions enables people with disabilities to make their own decisions, increase their responsibilities, manage their own tenancy, have more personal space, live independently and build their confidence with the reassurance that staff will be at hand to meet the individuals needs and wishes.
