Would you like to gain valuable work skills as an Apprentice Support Worker and earn while you learn? New Directions will provide you with full training to achieve a Level 2 apprenticeship as an Adult Care Worker with potential to advance further within our company. By joining our friendly and knowledgeable staff team, you will be able to develop your skills and experience, benefit from ongoing training and development and improve your employability and earning potential.

As an Apprentice Support Worker, you will enable, encourage and support individuals with a wide range of needs to achieve their outcomes and gain independence in all aspects of daily living according to their ability. Our charity is expanding so you will have the opportunity to gain a breadth of experience working at our different services.

We ask that you have the ability to accurately report, record and maintain records. We also require you to maintain electronic records and have basic numeracy skills for handling money.  You will demonstrate the ability to prioritise and follow instructions and assist with all aspects of daily living, e.g. household tasks, personal tasks etc. In addition to this, we ask for flexibility in your working arrangements.

GCSE grade 4 (C) or above in English & Maths or equivalent are desirable but those who have not achieved these grades are encouraged to apply. Sharing our values is important to us as a charity. We therefore ask that as an Apprentice Support Worker you ensure the rights of the people who we support are treated with respect and that you familiarise yourself with the way that we meet their needs and encourage their aspirations.

To apply for this exciting opportunity, go to the National Apprenticeship Scheme (NAS) website where you will need to have an account or register for an account before you apply.
