Have you thought about what you might like to do with your spare time in the future? If you would like to use your existing skills and experience, combine your hobbies and interests, meet new people and make a real difference to the lives of others then volunteering with us is a great way to spend your time. This Volunteers Week (1st-7th June) we are focusing on how we welcome and introduce Volunteers into our charity in the wake of the social distancing measures. We are also considering what kind of roles you could play in the lives of the people we support in this new-normal.

In the UK, community spirit has soared during the Coronavirus lockdown and volunteers have become an essential part of our national infrastructure during this pandemic. We know that our Volunteers feel appreciated and rewarded as part of our community and you could get involved too. Whether you have a few hours to spare or many more, we ensure that our Volunteers enjoy their time with us with regular supervision, when there is the opportunity to be heard, assess your needs, and feel valued.

Your spare time is your own, but we would love to spend it with you! If you are passionate too about our values of choice, independence and equality then why not sign up to our Volunteer Priority List? You will receive our latest Volunteer vacancies direct to your email inbox with all the information you need to apply. These roles may include befriending and providing companionship, supporting social activities, gardening, and supporting individuals on the allotment, art and craft activities and domestic support to individuals.

If you have a great idea as to how you can help us digitally or remotely then we would love to hear from you. We are continually reassessing how we provide support through volunteering and hope to have many opportunities available as we approach our 70th year anniversary.
