2010s
Our Busiest Decade So Far!
During this decade, New Directions continued to develop and expand its services.
June 2011 saw the opening of Milner House, made possible in part by a generous legacy from the Milner family – Betty and Keith, founding members of Rugby Mencap, whose daughter Peggy had been supported by the charity for many years.
This legacy enabled the creation of a modern, welcoming home designed to support individuals through respite care, holiday breaks, and the development of independence and life skills.
Established in 2012, Community Choices Network (CCN) began at Tom Brown Street before moving to its current home at The Exchange on Albert Street in 2015.
Today, our day service offers a welcoming and inclusive environment, with a wide range of engaging activities such as arts and crafts, drama, flower arranging, and cooking. The Exchange also serves as a fully accessible community space, available for a variety of uses including meeting room hire.
