Multicultural Celebration Day

On Saturday 4th July 2026, we were delighted to welcome the people we support, families and community groups to Assheton Recreation Ground in Bilton for our Multicultural Celebration Day as part of the Love Rugby Festival.

The event celebrated the rich diversity within our community, bringing people together to learn about different countries, cultures and traditions in a fun, welcoming and inclusive environment.

Throughout the day, visitors had the opportunity to explore a variety of cultural stalls hosted by local community members and organisations. Each stall offered a unique insight into different cultures through displays, traditional clothing, artefacts, activities and conversations, giving visitors the chance to learn something new and connect with people from a range of backgrounds.

With warm sunshine, a friendly atmosphere and refreshments available from Really Awesome Coffee (Rugby), the event attracted a steady flow of visitors who spent time exploring the stalls, asking questions and celebrating the diversity that makes our community so special.

The day would not have been possible without the enthusiasm and commitment of our stall holders, volunteers and staff. We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who gave their time to help organise, support and participate in the event. Your passion and willingness to share your culture helped make the event a truly memorable experience.

We would also like to thank Rugby Borough Council for their support through the Love Rugby Festival grant, which helped make this event possible.

Events like our Multicultural Celebration Day play an important role in bringing people together, encouraging understanding, reducing barriers and celebrating the cultures that enrich our local community. We hope everyone who attended left having learnt something new and made new connections.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the day such a success. We look forward to building on this year’s event and celebrating together again in the future.
