We offer more than just accommodation. Queens Court provides a community of people and social opportunities, meaning that you will not feel isolated and family members will be reassured. You can join others who have similar hobbies such as walking, exercise, fishing and bike riding. We have outdoor communal areas where you can get together and you can access our day opportunities service to enjoy meals and activities in the evenings and at weekends. Queens Court is located near to places of worship where you can meet others that share your faith. Some people who live with us have relationships and have started a family, we can accommodate individuals or couples in our flats.
SUPPORT WITH MONEY AND BENEFITS
We can take the headache out of your money matters. Our dedicated Housing Support service provides support to access benefits, create budgeting plans, advice and help to pay your bills and to manage your own money. We can help you to fill in your paperwork and really understand and own your finances or work with your family to give you as much control as possible. We can help you fill in your housing benefit application and let you know when there are changes to the benefit systems that affect you. You may be earning your own money through employment, so we can work out your whole income with you and help you to keep on track.
WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM SUPPORTED LIVING?
Queens Court provides support at every level with as much or as little as you need, this will be assessed by your local authority. The purpose of supported living is that you are making your own choices and have control of your life no matter how much support you need. We offer a purpose built 3 storey building with a lift which makes it available to people with limited mobility. We call our model a “Step Up and Step Down” where your needs are met every step of the way.
FEELING SAFE LIVING INDEPENDENTLY
All our flats are self-contained at Queens Court, which means that you have your own living room, bedroom, open plan kitchen/ living room and can shut your front door relaxing in your own home. We have staff onsite and cctv throughout the premises. The manager of the service is onsite operating an open door policy should you have anything you want to talk about. Your flat will have a visual intercom where you can see who is calling for you and decide who does and doesn’t visit. You will have your own locked post box making your mail private to you. Safety and trust are important to us, so we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and you can find our latest report online.
