Congratulations to our walking football team, who were crowned champions at a recent tournament hosted by Galanos House at Leamington Rugby Club as part of Care Home Open Week.
Our team played brilliantly throughout the day, demonstrating fantastic teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship. They were delighted to come away as tournament winners after competing against care homes from across Coventry and Warwickshire.
Events like these are about so much more than the final score. They provide opportunities to stay active, build confidence, make new friendships, and be part of the wider community. It was wonderful to see everyone supporting one another and enjoying a fun-filled day of sport.
A special thank you goes to Mick, who did an incredible job coaching and encouraging the team throughout the tournament. He’s already helping the players prepare for their next competition!
