The walk is 8-10 miles on varied terrain and will take approximately 5 hours. The walk is in an area called The Roaches and Lud’s Church and has a varied in landscape and beautiful views. The group have hired a free mini bus and hope to raise £1,000. Donations to this fundraiser can be made to the Virgin Money Giving website here
Organiser Simon said, “Walking in the Peak District made such a strong impression on me that I wanted to share the experience with the people who I work with. I had been looking for an opportunity to fundraise to provide specialist equipment to help the people who New Directions supports to access the internet safely for everyday tasks, use online services and socialise with family and friends. When offered the chance to use a free minibus from Warwickshire County Council I thought that this would be a great opportunity to get people together, raise funds and awareness of our charity.”
