I have worked within the care sector since May 2006. I joined New Directions in December 2016 to support a transition period between service providers, of which was only going to be for a few weeks. Several months later I took on the role of a full time Support Worker and through support and encouragement I eventually becoming a Team Leader. Early in 2019 I decided I wanted to spend more time with my family, but the passion for the support we provide and New Directions values I returned in January 2020. Since my return through the incredible encouragement, support and training I have received from New Directions I become a Deputy manager. I am so proud to say I work for New Directions and to have seen the incredible achievements and progression throughout the organisation and the people we support over the last 10 years is amazing.
