I have had the privilege of working in the health and social care field since 2004. I started my career working in a day centre in Rugby. I have known a lot of the people we support within New Directions since 2004.
I started working for New Directions in June 2020 as a Team Leader, then progressed to Deputy Manager in December 2021 and Registered Manager in 2023. New Directions has enabled and supported me to progress within my career; they are not only supportive to the individuals we support but also to their staff teams. They are a great organisation who invest time and money in their staff. They promote choice, independence and equality for the people we support.
I have learnt so many new skills since I started and I love how everyday is different. I feel so lucky and privileged to be doing the job I do.
